In 1969, five generations stood together for a family photograph — mother to daughter, to daughter, to daughter, to daughter. That image became more than a keepsake. It became the beginning of a conversation about what we inherit, what we preserve, and what we pass forward.
Our family’s history reaches back to 1925, as far as the records go. Our people go further than that — enslaved people were never written down as people — but 1925 is where the paper trail begins. By 2025, that’s a hundred years of family.
